1. IRobot Roomba i3+ EVO
The iRobot Roomba i3+ EVO is a fantastic robot vacuum with a number of smart features that make it more easy to maintain than other models. The automatic bin emptying feature is one of the most useful features we've seen on the form of a robot and it is compatible with both hard floors and carpets. The app guides you through the entire process. It is also easy to use and set up. Another notable feature is its ability to return to where it left off in our tests--it did this for 77 minutes on one cleaning before running out of battery.
Contrary to other robovacs we've evaluated, the i3+ EVO features a self-emptying bin that dumps debris into an external dirt compartment on the base of its charging when it's filled. The i3+ EVO can be prevented from overfilling by a self-emptying bin. However it still needs to be manually empty at the end of each cleaning session. The i3+ EVO dustbin can hold 2.4L, which will last for four to five cleaning sessions.
Like the i7, this model also uses the latest floor tracking sensors to create maps and navigate neat rows. However, the i3+ EVO only stores one map, while the i7 has the capacity to store multiple maps. The i7's map can be used to create virtual barriers and no-go zones, but not for the i3+ EVO.
The i3+ EVO does a better job of removing surface debris in comparison to other robovacs we've examined, but it's not the best at cleaning corners and edges. It's also not as gentle on furniture, despite being relatively quiet. It was quite rough on furniture, since it forced chairs away. It also caused collisions against the sides of the bed.
2. Black & Decker Q5 Pro

Its 240-minute runtime is very generous compared to others we've examined. If the battery is low, it will automatically return to its dock, where it recharges and resumes cleaning where it began. You can manage the Q5 Pro using the app or voice commands with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
This is the first robot we've seen that has 3D mapping. This, along with other innovations, helped it perform exceptionally well in our vacuuming tests and mopping test. You can schedule cleaning times, set no-go zones and see the battery's status, among other things. The app is simple to use, but it does not support Apple HomeKit. That feature is scheduled to be added in 2025. As of November 1, Apple has updated a footnote on its website to indicate that this feature is delayed until 2025. Some other robots won't work with HomeKit, but many of them work with Siri Shortcuts.

It also did a great job avoiding obstacles like furniture. It can also find its way back to the base station in case it is unable to recharge its batteries during a cleaning session.
It also has a spot cleaning mode that lets you to mop or clean the specific area of your floor. It can also be programmed manually to follow a certain direction. This is ideal for narrow hallways or stairs. In our carpet cleaning test, it did a good job cleaning carpets. However, it was unable to clean rugs and carpets with larger piles.
